Evening rush-hour disruption as train crew shortage halts services between Lymington Pier and Brockenhurst

COMMUTERS face rush-hour disruption as a train crew shortage forces the suspension of all rail services between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier.

South Western Railway announced today (Thursday) that no trains will travel between these stations from 5pm until the end of the day.

A rail replacement bus service will be laid on as SWR warns journeys are likely to take longer, with all lines disrupted.

An SWR spokesperson said: “For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.

“We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”

Those preferring to continue their journey on local buses can check traveline.info but SWR tickets are not valid on these unless stated above.
