Road closed after car crashes into bridge in Ashley Lane, Hordle

POLICE closed a road in Hordle after a car crashed into a bridge.

Officers were called after a black Nissan left the carriageway in Ashley Lane at about 3pm today (Thursday).

There is a road closure in place between Ashley Lane and Hare Lane, a Hampshire police spokesperson told the A&T.

Firefighters from New Milton were called out to help extricate an elderly casualty who was taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.

No injuries have been reported, the police spokesperson said.

Emergency services remained at the scene while they investigated the incident.

Further appliances from Redbridge were stood down as crews made the scene safe before returning to station at about 3.30pm.
