‘Right place, right time’ as police catch suspected shoplifter while in store on Southampton Road in Ringwood

IT was a case of “right place, right time” when police caught a suspected shoplifter in a Ringwood store.

The officers were in the shop on Southampton Road last Wednesday afternoon on an unrelated matter when they took action.

A 44-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.

A police post online afterwards said: “Officers had been in the shop on an unrelated matter when they were alerted to the suspected shoplifter.

“Right place right time, and all that!”
