Loungers restaurant group set to open venue in New Milton

New Milton could see a new bar and restaurant on its high street after the well-known Loungers group confirmed it was in “advanced negotiations on a site” in the town.

There are a number of Lounges across the New Forest and Christchurch, including the recently open Solento Lounge in Lymington, and there have been rumours a venue will open on the site of the former KFC in Station Road, New Milton.

A spokesperson for the group, whose restaurants are very popular with families, said: “We are in advanced negotiations on a site in New Milton – it’s a great area and we are hopeful to join the local community by opening a Lounge and creating between 30-40 new jobs.

“Nothing is totally confirmed yet, however, for every Lounge we open, it’s important to us that we give back to the community – we partner with local charities to raise funds, our spaces are used for meetings of local groups and businesses, and we encourage customers to use us as a community hub.

“We hope to have more information on the site in New Milton soon.”

Lounges prides itself on catering for all tastes and dietary requirements, and provides family-friendly activities, such as games, books and colouring pencils for “little loungers”.

Lounges are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with menus offering gluten free and vegan dishes.
