Hunt for witnesses after dog kills neighbouring cat in Bond Close, Sway

LEARN MOREPOLICE are investigating after a Sway resident’s cat was fatally wounded in an attack by a dog which reportedly escaped from a neighbouring home.
The incident involving a Jack Russell allegedly took place in Bond Close and was reported after 4pm last Thursday. The injured pet was taken to a nearby vet but later died.
People are urged to come forward if they witnessed the attack or have any CCTV footage as officers’ enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “We received a report from a member of the public that a dog had escaped a residential property in Bond Close, Sway, just after 4pm on Thursday 23rd June.
“It is alleged that the dog had attacked a neighbouring cat – which was subsequently taken to a nearby vet.
“Unfortunately the cat later succumbed to its injuries.”
