POLICE penalised a man for possessing cannabis after intercepting a suspicious package at Fordingbridge.
The parcel was seized at the town’s sorting office around midday on Thursday, which saw officers issue a community resolution to a local in his 50s.
This required he attend a drug awareness course.
Posting online afterwards, officers warned: “Ordering drugs online is illegal and puts users at risk from organised criminals groups whose business models are built around harm and exploitation.”
People are urged to contact Hampshire police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 if they ever have any information or intelligence to share.
