LEARN MOREPOLICE are appealing to find the driver of a car thought to have been involved in rural crimes after it failed to stop for officers in Ringwood.
The Suzuki Vitara was spotted by Hampshire and Dorset officers working in partnership around 8pm on Sunday, but when the driver saw them they reversed off a garage forecourt on the A338 and drove off.
The vehicle, believed to have been used in a string of offences in both counties and had no number plate, was later found abandoned in Poole.
Officers have now released pictures of the car and are calling on people to come forward if they were in the area at the time it was seen, can describe the driver, or have helpful dash cam footage.
Those with information should contact Hampshire police on 101, quoting crime reference number 44220113617, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
