Police stop horse box theft at Roundhills campsite, Brockenhurst




POLICE who stopped the theft of a horsebox in Brockenhurst found the van being used to tow it was also stolen.

Officers from the district policing team based at Lyndhurst were alerted to the attempted theft at Roundhills campsite on Tuesday.

In an online post, officers said: “When they arrived they found a silver van that was being used in the attempt – checks on that van found that it was stolen in Dorset in May and was on false plates.

“The van has been recovered and the horse box has been returned to its owner.”

No arrests have been made, police confirmed.
