Police 'desperately' renew public appeal to find missing Sarah

POLICE are “desperately” appealing to the public again for help finding missing woman Sarah Moore who disappeared and has not been seen since Monday night.

A request for dashcam or CCTV footage has been made amid increasing concern over the welfare of Sarah (54) after she left her home in Fairmile Road in Christchurch without her mobile phone and in an "upset" state.

Officers briefly thought she had been spotted on CCTV but further enquiries showed it was a false identification.

The search operation has brought in the National Police Air Service helicopter and volunteers from Dorset Search & Rescue and Wessex 4x4 Response.

Ch. Insp. Neil Wood, of Dorset Police, said: “As we have not been able to find any trace of Sarah and understand that she has been upset recently, we desperately need the help of the public.

"I am appealing for anyone who has seen her since her disappearance to let us know where and when this was.

“Sarah would very likely have left her home on foot. Therefore, we also urge anyone who has dashcam footage and was in the Christchurch area since Tuesday afternoon to check whether Sarah is featuring on it. The same plea goes to residents in the area who have home CCTV.”

He added: “As previously, I would also like to appeal directly to Sarah if you see this appeal to contact us or your family as we all just want to make sure you are all right.”

Sarah was last seen by family at her home at 9pm on Monday and was reported missing at 9.30am on Wednesday. It is not known precisely when she left her address.

Sarah is white, 5ft 6in tall and of very slim build with medium-length, wavy, dark-brown hair and brown eyes. She usually wears glasses and has a tattoo of two bluebirds on her wrist. It is believed she may be wearing a long, green coat.
