Officers attacked during drugs search at property in Hounsdown Avenue, Totton

POLICE were assaulted as they arrested three people for alleged drug offences at a Totton property.

Two men, a 30-year-old local and a 39-year-old of no fixed abode, were detained on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Two officers were attacked as they searched a 43-year-old Marchwood woman, leading to her arrest on suspicion of two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, as well as possessing a class A drug.

All three suspects were later released under investigation, pending further police enquiries.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “If you are concerned about drug-related activity in your neighbourhood, please report this to us via 101 or our online reporting tool on the Hampshire Constabulary website.

“Every call you make to us is logged and helps us build up a picture about what might be happening in your community.

“This allows us to take action and prevent your neighbourhoods from harm.”

A Facebook post by local officers last Friday night revealed they had already arrested a wanted man at the same property the previous day.
