Plan to demolish home on Somerford Road, Christchurch, for block of nine flats

A HOUSING developer has launched a bid to replace a Christchurch property and outbuilding with a block of nine flats.

BCP Council’s permission is being sought by Fox Homes Ltd through Aspire Architects to demolish the structures at 55 Somerford Road.

If approved, a three-storey block of nine two-bedroom apartments would be built with an associated bin and cycle store and visitor parking.

Three objections have so far been received from neighbours, siting issues with parking, overlooking existing properties and the size of the block.

A decision will be made by BCP Council after the consultation deadline of 19th August.
