Wet and wild as community unites for Clifftop Music Fest in Highcliffe

RAIN failed to dampen the spirits of hundreds of Highcliffe residents who enjoyed live music and dancing at the Clifftop Music Fest.

The festival saw many attendees don colourful ‘70s-style outfits as they danced with umbrellas.

Organised by Stir Events in collaboration with Highcliffe Action Team, local Rotary Clubs, volunteer groups and parish councillors, it featured performances from local and national musicians and bands including a headline set from the Sound of the O’Jays – City Limits, who captivated the audience with their powerful soul and Motown hits.

The festival fun began with a set from Sara Harris, a local singer who delighted crowds with her vocals. Local singing group the Diamond Divas Choir also performed along with the energetic Bournemouth Lindy Hop Dance group, who got everyone on their feet with their lively swing routines.

Other festival highlights included the SKB Band featuring Susie Kimber; the uplifting Sound of Soul Choir; Lou Taylor’s Soul Train and the Madison Heights Soul Experience Band.

The fabulous DJ/MC Retro Grooves kept the music flowing and the energy high between sets.
