Perfect weather helps draw record crowds for community fundraiser Ellingham Show

PERFECT weather conditions resulted in a record turnout for the weekend’s 77th Ellingham Show.

A spokesperson said the long-established family community event was blessed with just the right temperatures, “not too hot with a cooling breeze”.

Organisers said there was “something for everyone” on the day.

“From the joy and interest of the horticultural and craft tents and vehicle/engine displays, to the fun of the terrier racing – the spectators were crying with laughter – and the majesty of the traditional animals, all interests were catered for,” said a spokesperson.

“Our new children’s entertainment Big Top Mania was a hit with the younger attendees.”
