TWO people in CCTV images released by police after a teenage boy was assaulted at a New Forest railway station have been identified.

The 16-year-old victim was targeted around 12.10am on Sunday 1st November after being involved in a confrontation with a man at a garage forecourt in Sway.

He and his friends were followed to the village’s station by the man, along with a woman who began to become verbally aggressive and pushed him.

The man then assaulted the boy, leaving him with minor facial injuries.

After a public appeal today (Wesdnesday), a Hampshire police spokesperson said the two in the images had been identified, and thanked those who shared the appeal.
