There was a variety of food and drink vendors, while local artisans sold their products, and charities set up shop to explain their work and accept donations.

One of the charities in attendance was the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, which brought along a helicopter simulator, while Brockenhurst Young Farmers showed off a vintage tractor.

To the surprise of her colleagues, Brock College receptionist Jenaya Wilson stole the show with her band GTSteel, as she belted out a list of rock classics.

Head of marketing and communications at Brockenhurst College, Rebekah Donawa, said: “This event is a key part of our community engagement strategy, reminding people that we are a key local player and major local asset.

“Making this event a success is a team effort, and I wish to thank New Forest District Council for their sponsorship again this year – it really means a lot and makes a huge difference.

“I also wish to thank our student ambassadors and uniformed protective services students, who were instrumental in performing meet-and-greet operations, as well as important logistical tasks.”
