NFDC confirms by-election for Bransgore, Burley, Sopley and Ringwood East ward




RESIDENTS in a New Forest ward will go to the polls later this month to choose a new district representative.

New Forest District Council has confirmed a by-election will take place on Thursday 13th February for a new Bransgore, Burley, Sopley and Ringwood East ward councillor after Neil Millington of the Green Party stepped down.

New Forest Green Party said in a statement Mr Millington would be relocating after a change in personal circumstances and was “unable to continue in his role”.

Standing for the seat is Barbara Czoch for the Green Party, Adam Elcock for Reform UK, Richard Frampton for the Conservatives, Sally Johnston for Labour, and Iestyn Lewis for the Liberal Democrats.

The other seat in the ward is held by independent Nigel Linford.
