Police arrest woman for drug and weapon offences after New Milton property searched

POLICE arrested a New Milton woman in connection with drug and weapon offences.

Cannabis, drug paraphernalia, mobile phones and a large quantity of cash were seized when officers recently searched a property in the town.

The 46-year-old was detained on suspicion of possessing a controlled class A drug with intent to supply, possessing an offensive weapon in a private place, and acquiring or using or possessing criminal property. She was later released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A Hampshire force spokesperson said: “The arrest follows great work by officers from New Milton neighbourhood policing team and the Lyndhurst district policing team.”
