Solento Lounge part of the Loungers chain opens in Lymington offering all day dining

A NEW restaurant – part of the popular Loungers chain – has opened in Lymington.

Solento Lounge has moved into the former Barclays Bank bulding on the High Street, and opened its doors at the end of last week.

Around 30 new jobs have been created at the premises, which has been transformed with tiling, stripped wooden floors and vintage sofas; along with eclectic artwork and lighting with a variety of “cosy and elegant drinking and dining areas”.

Described as a “real home from home”, Solento lounge will cater for “all tastes throughout the day with a varied and innovative all-day menu”.

It features tapas, burgers, salads, sandwiches, brunch dishes, and a range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options alongside a kids’ menu.

Mains include Caribbean chicken curry, beef brisket chilli, Thai coconut prawn noodles, and ‘Bang Bang Cauliflower’.

Families will receive a “warm welcome” with a selection of games, books, colouring pencils and drawing pads on offer. High-chairs and baby changing facilities are also available.

Gemma Irwin, head of community at Loungers, says: “We are delighted to be opening Solento Lounge in Lymington.

“Our Lounges strive to put community at the heart of hospitality and our teams always go the extra mile to make a difference.

“They are actively encouraged to connect with their communities by working with local groups, charities, organisations and businesses that are at the heart of the fabric of local life.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming local residents to Solento Lounge.”
