Multi-vehicle crash and fuel spill causes heavy delays on A31 at Ringwood, between A338 Salisbury Road and Poulner Hill




MOTORISTS faced heavy delays this morning (Wednesday) after a crash between three cars and a trailer on the A31 near Ringwood.

The collision around 7.45am saw the eastbound carriageway between the A338 Salisbury Road and Poulner Hill closed for a short period.

No injuries were reported, according to Hampshire police.

Fire crews from Ringwood and Redbridge were supported by Dorset counterparts in helping three passengers from the vehicles.

A fuel spill had to be contained, and delays of around an hour and a half were reported from the Boundary Lane roundabout as the carriageway was shut.

Around 9.40am it was said to be partially blocked, with about 45 minutes of hold-ups from Woolsbridge Roundabout.
