Crash involving Honda motorbike and Audi Q5 on B3058 Milford Road, near Barton-on-Sea Golf Club, leaves rider with serious injuries




A MOTORCYCLIST suffered serious injuries in a crash near the entrance to Barton-on-Sea Golf Club.

The collision, involving a black Audi Q5 and a red Honda motorbike, happened around 4pm on Sunday, near to the junction of the B3058 Milford Road and Angel Lane.

The rider, a man in his 30s from Bournemouth, suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

A driver who saw the aftermath said: “The road was blocked off by police cars and cones, and officers were waving vehicles down and telling them to get to Milford via Downton.

“There was a motorbike under a car on one side of the road. The scene was still sealed off past 7pm.”

A spokesperson from Hampshire police said: “We were called at 4.11pm yesterday [17th August] to reports of a collision at the junction of the B3058 Milford Road and Angel Lane.

“This involved a black Audi Q5 and a red Honda motorcycle.

“The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s from Bournemouth, suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.”
