People are being urged to come forward if they saw any suspicious activity around the time the raid took place. Police are also keen to see any relevant CCTV footage or hear from those who may have seen the motorbike in the local area.

The theft has prompted officers to remind residents to ensure any vehicle keys are not left in plain sight to deter opportunist burglars.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “You can also consider using a signal blocking pouch, known as a Faraday Bag, to store your keys (and any spare sets) which blocks your car key fob from transmitting its code to the vehicle; again deterring would-be criminals.”

Anyone with information about the theft should contact police on 101, quoting crime reference number 44210437813, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
