Little Lexi Lewis from Milford has 12 inches shorn off hair for charity the Little Princess Trust
LITTLE Lexi Lewis was so excited about donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust after having it cut off she is growing it long again so she can give more.
Lexi, aged seven, had 12 inches shorn off her locks for the charity, which makes wigs for children who have lost hair due to medical treatment or conditions such as alopecia.
Mum Cheryl Roche said: “Lexi has never had her hair cut before. It was really long and she had wanted it cut for ages. I told her about the Little Princess Trust and how some little girls don’t have the luxury of having long hair.
“She was sad to learn that some girls don’t have any hair at all and was so excited about donating hers to the charity. She had it cut to a shoulder length bob, and she is really chuffed with it.”
Cheryl, whose parents run The Smugglers Inn in Milford, said Lexi “cannot wait to do it again”.
“I am so proud of her,” she said.
Lexi has raised £225 of her fundraising target and has a JustGiving page through which people can donate at bit.ly/4ggRZ50
