Former Bransgore Medical Centre could be turned back into home if NFDC give green light

A FORMER medical centre could be turned back into a dwelling if a redevelopment proposal gets the go ahead.

District council planners are being asked for permission to convert Bransgore Medical Centre in Ringwood into a home.

In a letter to the authority, an agent for Bob Hull Planning said: “The application is simply to return the building to its former use with no extension or other alteration to the external appearance - purely a change of use.”

The letter concluded: “There appears to be no reason why this change of use…should be resisted.”

The application form for the proposed change said: “All habitable rooms will have natural light as windows have not been altered since it was used as a dwelling.

“The site has acceptable access onto Ringwood Road and parking on site. The village contains another medical centre providing GP services and this one is surplus to requirements.”

A public consultation on the proposed change of use runs until 3rd December.
