Masked raiders attack pair in Lymington home
POLICE are hunting four masked robbers who forced their way into a home in Lymington and attacked those inside.
The gang left a man in his 60s with a broken nose as they fled the property in Belmore Road with cash and a Rolex watch.
The raid happened on Saturday between 9pm and 9.30pm after the intruders broke in through the rear patio doors.
A woman was also attacked but she was unharmed. The male victim also suffered bruising to his face and ribs.
Police say it is possible that the four robbers escaped using a vehicle. One of the victim’s mobile phones was found later by police discarded in Undershore Road.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “We deployed to the home and conducted a search of the area with a dog unit.
“The investigation is ongoing. No one has been arrested at this time.
“We would like to speak to anyone who saw a group of four men behaving suspiciously before the incident, particularly in the Belmore Road and Stanford Hill areas between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Saturday night.”
Officers were at the address for the rest of the weekend and have appealed for those with information to come forward.
