Masked men take cash boxes in midnight raid on Pennington Tesco Express

CASH boxes were stolen when four masked raiders forced their way into a New Forest convenience store on Sunday night.

The quartet targeted the Tesco Express branch in Pennington just before midnight, fleeing with the boxes containing an undisclosed sum of money.

No one was reported to have been injured in the incident.

A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “We were called just before midnight on Sunday 15th November to reports of a burglary at Tesco Express, The Square, Pennington.

“Four masked people forced entry to the store, which was closed, and have taken cash boxes. No-one was hurt in the incident. Officers are currently following a number of lines of enquiry.”
