A CHRISTCHURCH man was jailed for 12 months after attacking a woman and a police officer while on a suspended sentence.
David Waterman (55) pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman by beating and damaging her vehicle at his home on Edward Road on 24th November last year.
He also admitted a charge of assaulting an emergency worker on the same date.
Putting Waterman behind bars, a district judge at Poole Magistrates’ Court ruled the offences were serious, noting they were committed while he was on a suspended sentence.
As well as the prison term, Waterman was handed a three-year restraining order not to contact the victim or enter Edward Road.
He was also told to pay back the £724 cost of the car damage.
