Jon Davies from Christchurch fined by Poole magistrates for sending offensive messages




A MAN who admitted sending indecent or offensive messages via social media has been fined £80.

Jon Davies (50), of The Hawthorns, Christchurch, committed the offence between 6th and 9th March.

Appearing at Poole Magistrates’ Court, he pleaded guilty to one count of communication / article of an indecent / offensive nature, sent via Facebook Messenger, which was of an indecent or grossly offensive nature for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient.

He was also ordered to pay court charges of £117.
