A MAN died after apparently being electrocuted on the tracks at Hinton Admiral railway station late last night (Tuesday).

Paramedics and British Transport Police (BTP) officers rushed to the scene, off Hintonwood Lane, in response to a call-out around 11.50pm, but the casualty was pronounced dead.

Officers said they were not treating his death as suspicious.

A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Hinton Admiral station at 11.48pm on Tuesday 15th September following reports of an injured male who was found to have sustained injuries consistent with electrocution.

“Paramedics also attended but the male was sadly pronounced dead. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

South Western Railway reported disruption to services as all lines between Brockenhurst and Bournemouth remained blocked until shortly before 2am while the incident was dealt with.
