Man detained after appearing in court on wounding with intent charge

A MAN has appeared in court accused of a serious assault in Lymington.

Martin Williamson (45), of Lymington Road, Brockenhurst, has been charged with wounding with intent.

An investigation was launched after a 30-year-old man from Milford was found with serious injuries in Lower Buckland Road shortly after 3.30am on Thursday 31st October.

Williamson appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Christmas Eve and was remanded to appear at the city's crown court on 24th January 2020.

A 42-year-old man from Lymington, who had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, remains on police bail pending further enquiries.
