The man was held in connection with raids on three businesses

POLICE investigating a series of burglaries and vehicle thefts in the New Forest yesterday arrested a Bransgore man.

The 21-year-old was held in connection with the following:

• A business burglary at a property on Station Road, Holmsley, on 11th February when a safe and some ice-creams were stolen.

• A business burglary at a garage on Undershore Road, Lymington, on 7th March. A selection of tools were stolen. During this incident a Mitsubishi pick-up, a Skoda Octavia, and a Volkswagen Golf were stolen. He was arrested in relation to these car thefts and for the interfering with a fourth car.

• A business burglary at the Hinton service station in Hinton on 7th March when cigarettes, alcohol and money was stolen.

The man has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
