Lymington Rotary Club's classic car show makes welcome return
MOTORING enthusiasts got back in gear for the return of Lymington Rotary Club's classic car show.
Following a two-year hiatus caused by Covid, the car show made a welcome return to Woodside Park in Lymington and featured motorcycles for the first time.
The event, which included a funfair, games of petanque, food stalls and live music from three bands throughout the day, raised £4,000 for local charities.
Rotary club spokesperson Sue Lewis said: "There was something for everyone on the day, including a busy car boot area and the Rotary's usual Pimms tent.
"The ice cream vans also proved to be very popular in the hot weather.
"The wonderful array of cars and motorcycles had been polished to perfection by their owners and they all sparkled in the beautiful sunshine.
"The owners were proud to display them and to chat to the interested public about their car’s history."
Sue added: "We would like to thank all those who contributed in any way to make the day such a success.
"In particular we would like to thank Jeremy and Julian Caldwell for their very generous sponsorship and also Ross Packard of New Milton for their support."
