Lymington man Stephen Dempsey charged with shoplifting from Tesco, Waitrose and Marks & Spencer




A LYMINGTON man has been charged over a string of shoplifting incidents in the area.

Stephen Dempsey (47), of Lower Buckland Road, faces 24 counts of theft from a store.

He appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court today (Tuesday) and was remanded in custody.

Dempsey will next appear at the same court on Thursday 1st September.

The charges relate a number of supermarkets, including Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Waitrose, reporting multiple items stolen between Wednesday 29th June and Sunday 21st August.
