Mudeford lifeboat crew features in national material released with Royal Mint’s special coin for RNLI’s 200th anniversary

Mudeford’s lifeboat crew was on the crest of a wave after being featured in national commemorative material for the RNLI’s 200th anniversary.

The Royal Mint has marked the rescue charity’s bicentennial by releasing a special 50p coin featuring its personal flag and logo, and donating one to each of the 238 stations across the UK and Ireland.

A percentage of proceeds from the coins’ sales will also be donated to fund the RNLI’s lifesaving work.

Posting on social media, the Mudeford team said it was “humbled” to be included in the fold-out sleeve accompanying each coin.

Volunteer crew are pictured on board the Mudeford Servant Atlantic 85 B-Class lifeboat speeding across the water.
