Letters: Lymington's traffic problem could be solved with one-way solution

SIR - Having read Jon Ellis’s letter on 30th August (A&T, Town must get traffic calming) I thought I must reply as I totally agree - something must be done about traffic calming at the bottom of Lymington High Street.

Perhaps one solution could be making Captain’s Row one-way, then this would help cut the traffic down by half.

Following on from this problem, isn’t it about time we closed the High Street on a Saturday so it is for pedestrians only?

This would encourage more people and families to enjoy the market in a safe way and increase business for all concerned.

I realise the buses would be affected but something could be worked out for them.
