Letter: Why don’t cyclists on Forest ring their bells any more?

Why don’t cyclists ring their bells?

I walk down a country lane every morning with my dog, and cyclists come along and they will not ring their bells.

Please could cyclists realise that they are silent. If you go down most country roads, when wind is blowing, you cannot hear a thing.

‘Use your bike bells’ plea

Why can’t they ring their bells? I told one girl to do this the other day and she said ‘oh I haven’t got one’.

If they don’t have one, why can’t they shout out ‘I’m behind you’ or ‘good morning’?

It’s not just me, it’s others, as well, we’re all fed up to the back teeth with it.
