Latest BCP Council planning applications and decisions for Christchurch




APPLICATIONS

The following applications for planning permission in Christchurch were submitted to BCP Council during the week ending Friday 14th February 2025.

Proposed formation of agricultural building for storage purposes, Chestnut Park, Harpway Lane, Burton.

Demolition of existing rear extension and construction of a rear and side extension, to include loft conversion with balconies to front and rear elevation and alterations to the front of the site, 1 Whitehall.

Construction of single-storey side extension with pitched roof, 7 Fitzmaurice Road.

Replacement and extension of existing conservatory, 94 River Way.

Change of use from an existing distribution warehouse with ancillary office space (use class B8) to a padel tennis facility (use class E(d)) with an associated gym space, office space, creche, car and cycle parking, and associated works, Unit D1, Radar Way, Mudeford.

Variation of condition 2 of application ref 8/24/0372/FUL to create two driveways and revised parking layout, original application - demolition of existing dwelling and erection of two detached dwellings with associated access and parking arrangements, 6 East Cliff Way, Mudeford.

Widen the existing access and relocate the front pillar to the boundary wall at the entrance, 128 Stanpit, Mudeford.

Enlargement of roof, extension to rear of property and new first floor addition, alterations to existing driveway to increase parking space and increase the height of the existing front boundary wall, proposed office / studio to rear of garden, variation of condition 2 of planning application 8/24/0307/HOU, simplification of roof construction to reduce complications in structural design, 67 Bure Lane, Mudeford.

Alterations to the front entrance and ground floor extension, first floor dormer and internal reconfigurations, The Noisy Lobster, Avon Beach, Mudeford.

DECISIONS

GRANTED

Proposed change of use from bathroom / kitchen showroom to car showroom (sui generis), Unit 12, Somerford Business park, 5 Wilverley Road, Burton.

Addition of first floor accommodation, formation of dormers to front and back, demolish conservatory, new single storey rear extension, update to fenestration and addition of front porch, demolish existing garage and propose new garage, widening

of existing opening to site and treatment to boundary, 2 Preston Lane, Burton.

Amended extension including conversion to form integrated annexe (retrospective), 27 Stanpit.

Single-storey front and rear extensions, 44 Sopers Lane.

Proposed first floor terrace with side privacy screens (amended description), 15 Twynham Avenue.

Retrospectively add a new rooflight and timber screen, Flat 3, 3 Church Street.

Demolish existing garage and dwelling, self-build replacement dwelling, 4 Elphinstone Road, Highcliffe.

Non-material amendment to planning application 8/24/0495/FUL, removal of internal garage and external garage door, changing the garage door into a window to match the others. Internal ground floor changes resulting in the west-side single door and window being moved and separated from each other, internal ground floor changes resulting in the three sliding doors on the rear elevation being changed to one larger central sliding door with single doors on either side, rear ground floor soffit extended out where it was originally a parapet wall. First-floor balcony balustrade changed to

frameless glass, side panels extended to 1.7m high, front entrance door and the window frame above width increased. Solar panels shown on both side elevation roof pitches, solar panels added to the flat roof section but hidden from view. Front boundary wall central section changed to full-height railings with planting behind, from half-height walls with railing above, 10 Rothesay Drive, Highcliffe.

Single-storey rear and side extensions, conversion and extension of garage to provide garden room, 19 Charlotte Close, Mudeford.

Standing seam metal effect cladding added to both side elevations on the rear sections of the first floor (to match existing), new concrete design feature added to the rear elevation at ground floor and timber louvres added to the flanks of an increased in depth first floor terrace with a bronze fascia surround at first floor, render surround at first floor on the right hand side of the front elevation re-clad to match left side, The Slipway, 42 Waterside, Mudeford.

Prior approval procedure of single-storey rear extension to measure 7.16m in length, with a maximum height of 4m and height to eaves of 2.35m, 18 Abingdon Drive, Highcliffe.
