Final week of of the Christchurch Living Advent Calendar

It is the last week of the Christchurch Living Advent Calendar with lots of live performances still to enjoy.

Having started on 1st December, the event has proved hugely popular with residents and visitors alike.

At 6pm each night a ‘door’ opens at a site in the town where musicians, singers and choirs perform.

Supported by more than 120 local businesses and organisations, this festive initiative, first staged in Sweden more than 15 years ago, has been brought to life in Christchurch by the town’s Rotary Club.

More than £13,000 has been raised for local charities already.

Organiser of the calendar Jan Banks said: ”CLAC continues to go from strength to strength with an excellent group of followers each evening come rain or shine.

Inevitably we have had to make a couple of late changes to our programme, but our organising team has made rapid adjustments, and we have used our website and social media pages to keep the public up to date. Many thanks to all our performers, sponsors, helpers and supporters – and do join us for the remaining events.”
