Knife and drugs found after disturbance at South Lawn Hotel in Milford

A KNIFE and drugs were found when police responded to a disturbance involving a group of people who refused to leave a Milford hotel.

The alarm was raised around 11.40am last Tuesday, with reports the group was acting in an anti-social manner at the South Lawn Hotel in Lymington Road.

Officers searched a grey Audi and discovered a knife in the boot, along with class B drugs.

A 20-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possessing a blade in a public place and possessing a class B substance.

Following enquiries, he was later released with no further action taken in relation to the blade.

He was issued a community resolution order for the drug offence.
