Paultons Park wins six gongs at this year’s UK Theme Park Awards
A THEME park in the Forest has scooped a haul of six national awards.
Paultons Park, near Ower, was named the best park for families at this year’s UK Theme Park Awards, while its Peppa Pig World was named best for toddlers.
It also won a gold award for the best new food outlet for the Grande Central cafe and restaurant, and a gold award for the best customer service at a large park.
Paultons won a bronze award in the best new entertainment category for Blast Off – A Space Rocket Adventure, and bronze in the best sustainability initiative for the ‘Paultons Promise’ to care for the environment and the local community.
The awards were allocated based on the feedback of more than 360,000 public votes combined with judges’ scores. Of the 38 theme parks nationwide which received nominations, 20 won awards.
Paultons Park’s marketing and technology director Lawrence Mancey said: “We are all thrilled to be recognised for the quality of our family-friendly offering and our dining experience here at Paultons Park.
“The UK Theme Park Awards are voted for by the public, which means everything to us as our purpose has always been to delight guests of every age and provide wonderful family memories.
“In addition, to receive the gold award for best customer service is testament to the hundreds of people in our teams who work so hard to ensure that every single guest has an exceptional time when visiting Paultons Park.”
The awards ceremony was held at Thorpe Park and was attended by more than 150 representatives from the UK theme park industry.
