Casualty cut free and hospitalised after two-vehicle crash on A338 at Ashley Heath
A CASUALTY had to be cut free after a two-vehicle crash which closed a stretch of the A338 at Ashley Heath yesterday (Thursday).
The collision, involving a Mazda 3 and a Renault Clio, happened on the northbound carriageway around 5.40pm, near Ashley Heath roundabout.
Fire crews from Ringwood and Christchurch used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the person from one of the cars.
They were taken by ambulance to hospital, but a Dorset Police spokesperson said no update on their condition was available.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area as traffic congestion built up, before the road was closed so emergency crews could deal with the incident.
The vehicles were recovered and the scene cleared about three hours later.
