Michael Murphy of Hythe given suspended jail sentence after attacking females




A HYTHE man has been given a 16-week suspended prison term for attacking two females.

Michael Murphy (39), of The Wicket, had denied committing two offences of assault by beating but was convicted by Southampton magistrates.

The Bench opted to suspend custody for two years as the defendant had taken voluntary steps to address his issues.

He was given a restraining order banning him contacting the victims or going to specific places in Hythe until 30th November 2023, and told to pay £748 court charges.
