Police seek woman who intervened after teenagers were threatened with a knife near Bartley Park in Totton




A woman who intervened when two teenagers were threatened with a blade in a New Forest park is being urged by police to come forward.

The incident, at around 7.45am on Friday 8th November, saw the youngsters approached by another teenager with an object to thought to be a knife or multi-tool, on the path in Bartley Park, near Myrtle Avenue, in Totton.

Police say the incident was stopped by the woman, who was walking along the same path, and they believe she saw the incident.

The woman, who is thought to live in the Bartley Park area and walks the route frequently, was aged between 50 and 60 years old and about 5ft 6in tall.

She was of skinny build and had white shoulder-length hair.
