Hunt for owners of suspected stolen gear found in car on Calmore Drive in Calmore

POLICE are appealing for the owners of suspected stolen gear found in a suspicious car in Calmore.

Officers from New Forest’s High Harm Team found a red Volkswagen Sharan on Calmore Drive at around 11.30pm on Friday 14th April.

The car was suspected to have been used in connection with a number of burglaries in Hampshire and Wiltshire, and inside was found a large amount of items, including power tools, electrical goods, a high-end mountain bike and gardening equipment including chainsaws and hedge trimmers.

The mountain bike was returned to its owner in Wiltshire, but enquires are ongoing to find the owners of the rest.
