Police appeal for witnesses fortnight after woman subjected to abuse and pushed to ground by man outside One Stop store on Avon View Road in Burton
A WOMAN was abused and pushed to the ground in a “very distressing” attack outside a Burton store.
Police investigating the attack, which happened around 7.30pm on Monday 28th April, have now appealed for witnesses to come forward.
The victim was approached outside the One Stop on Avon View Road by an unknown man who reportedly hurled verbal abuse at her.
She was then pushed, and she fell to the ground.
The man being sought by officers is described as being in his 30s, very tall, slim build, with long black hair tied in a ponytail.
Police community support investigator Mike Cannings said: “Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries, but this was a very distressing incident for her.
“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances and I am keen to hear from any witnesses and would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to please come forward.
“I would also urge anyone who has any information about the man being described to please get in touch.”
