Scottish and Southern Energy Networks (SSEN) engineers used network switching to restore all supplies in stages by midday.

A spokesperson for the company told the A&T yesterday afternoon the team was investigating the fault before carrying out repairs.

They added: “We’d like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by today’s fault and thank the local community for their patience as our teams worked to restore supplies as quickly as possible.”
