Fallen tree on power line cuts off supplies to nearly 400 homes in New Milton
NEARLY 400 homes were left without power after a tree fell on an overhead electricity line in New Milton.
The alarm was raised around 10.40am yesterday (Wednesday), with reports the outage had affected a total of 392 properties in streets including Davis Field.
Scottish and Southern Energy Networks (SSEN) engineers used network switching to restore all supplies in stages by midday.
A spokesperson for the company told the A&T yesterday afternoon the team was investigating the fault before carrying out repairs.
They added: “We’d like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by today’s fault and thank the local community for their patience as our teams worked to restore supplies as quickly as possible.”
