The Neigh Bar at Careys Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst is the perfect spot for alfresco dining
A BROCKENHURST hotel has installed a stylish alfresco bar and kitchen this summer in the form of a converted horsebox.
The Neigh Bar is now in pride of place in the beautiful gardens of Careys Manor Hotel, providing the perfect spot for a summer tipple or small plates and sharers.
Supporting a multitude of Hampshire producers, the drinks list features Hattingley Classic Reserve sparkling wine and the New Forest’s very own Ravishing Rosé, produced at Marlings Vineyard in Sway.
Also on offer is Mermaid strawberry pink gin from the Isle of Wight Distillery, along with margaritas and Italian spritzes.
The food menu features dishes that use seasonal, reginal produce, including freshly baked Roccbox flatbreads with an array of tempting toppings. Choose from The Roundhillwith melted Tunworth cheese, caramelised onion and Morteau sausage, or thePuttles Bridgetopped with creamy goat’s curd, Kalamata olive tapenade and garden herbs.
Small plates include tandoori cauliflower with pickled cucumber and pumpkin seed dukkah; grilled Isle of Wight aubergines with miso, sesame, and lime; and baked hearty artichokes filled with local Hampshire cheese.
Fans of seafood can enjoy Brixham brown crab, prawns with mango salsa and grilled octopus.
The Neigh Bar will be open daily this month between 11am and 7:30pm for drinks, and from 12pm to 5:30pm for food.
