Homeless Christchurch man Kyril Klimovitch jailed after entering Marks and Spencer store in breach of a restraining order

A HOMELESS man was handed a 16-week jail term for entering a Christchurch store from which he had been banned.

Kyril Klimovitch (36) pleaded guilty to harassment by breaching a restraining order after he entered Marks and Spencer in Somerford Road in July.

Poole magistrates had made the order banning him from the shop in January. Klimovitch also admitted stealing a bottle of wine worth £9.50.

Magistrates handed down a 16-week custody term, with Klimovitch set to serve six weeks in prison.

Court paperwork noted: “The offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified, The reason for custody is the record of offending at a targeted location.”

Magistrates also noted it would be “inappropriate” to make a compensation order as the defendant is going to jail.
