Police find cannabis, bong and ball bearings in seized, uninsured car in Somerford




OFFICERS found a haul of cannabis, drug gear and ball bearings in a car which they seized in Christchurch.

Police from both Hampshire and Dorset forces dealt with the uninsured Honda CRV found in Somerford. The vehicle was suspected to have been seen at a rural crime hotspot.

An amount of cannabis, a bong and a large haul of steel ball bearings were seized from the 4x4, the interior of which was covered in mud and paw prints. The vehicle was seized by officers.

A post on the Ringwood Police Facebook page afterwards said: “If this is your vehicle please call Ringwood team on 101, quoting 44220201185, to discuss offences found.

“Drugs and vehicles don't mix and put other road users at risk.

“If you know someone drug-driving please report on 101 with full details so we can target to prevent tragedies and make roads in Christchurch and New Forest safer for everyone.”

Officers also want to hear from those who know of anyone involved in criminal activities affecting New Forest and Dorset rural towns and villages.
