2023 Burley Steam and Vintage Show set for Saturday and Sunday, 30th September and 1st October
DOZENS of classic vehicles will be on display this weekend at the Burley Steam and Vintage Show.
The popular event, which is staged at Burley Park on Chapel Lane, will feature vintage tractors, miniature steam rides, live music, trade stalls and a local crafts market. Gates open at 9am on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October.
Spokesperson Jon Narey said: “We hope to have about 35 full-size and miniature stream vehicles on display as well as rural craft demonstrations, dog demonstrations, a fun dog show and scurry racing.”
Highlights will include a display of vintage and classic steam engines, saw benches, tractors, commercial vehicles, motorbikes and stationary engines. On Saturday evening there will be live music from Shortstack & Sides along with a real ale and cider bar.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy funfair rides, craft demonstrations and various food and refreshment stands. Money raised during the volunteer-run event will be used to support the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. The 2022 event raised more than £3,500 for charity.
Admission is £3 for adults and £1 for children. Parking will also be available nearby for £4 with camping available.
