Four rescued from car after engine cuts out as driver tried to cross New Forest ford
FOUR people had to be rescued by firefighters after their car was stranded in a flooded ford in the New Forest following torrential rain on Saturday night.

Responding to the call-out shortly before 9pm, a Ringwood fire crew arrived to find the car submerged up to the door sills.
The road was closed as the firefighters led the four occupants to safety in just over half an hour.
According to a witness, the casualties, who wanted to remain anonymous, had been on their way to Verwood when they got into difficulty.
South Central Ambulance Service’s hazardous area response team also attended, but it was stood down on arrival.
